IT Courses @ Calne Community Hub

Once again, I will be offering these half day courses at Calne Community Hub during Autumn 2011, beginning in September.  These half day courses run from 2pm till 5pm and are only £25!  Aimed at small businesses or self employed people, they cover tips and tricks with Word and Excel, getting up to speed with Powerpoint, charting with Excel and using Excel for data analysis.  For more details, just get in touch with us!

E-Learning Update

As part of the website upgrade, I have created an e-learning area using Moodle to help with post course support and additional materials.  For each course, you'll find additional web links pointing to extra materials, a tips and tricks list for extra productivity, and good ideas or innovative uses for the software I teach which arise during the course.  For example, during a recent Excel Advanced course, one of my students had a novel use for the Solver feature to help with allocating individual payments to a lump sum cheque!  You'll find further details of the course here

Recently I have delivered a training project both in the UK and Europe training some 60+ IT trainers;  the Moodle resource has been invaluable for distributing notes, sample files and for feedback from my attendees via a forum.  If this could work for you, contact me here.

Attendees on my courses will receive a login which will be valid for 6 months from the date of the course and be renewed each time they attend one of my courses.

Qualification Courses

Do you need a qualification that is relevant, based on your own skills or work environment?  Since last autumn we have been delivering Open College Network (OCN) courses with Wessex Community Action in Salisbury.  These courses range from entry level up to level 3 and are assessed by a portfolio of work, backed up by taught sessions.  The units we offer range from general IT skills to specific wordprocessing, spreadsheet and database skills.  Interested?  Get in touch here
