| Recently, more and more organisations and businesses have realised that Excel and Access together offer a very powerful database and analysis system right there on their computer. Trouble is, that to use it to its greatest capacity takes learning and insight, not only of database theory, but also seeing your own problem from a constructive, unbiased angle. We can help with looking at your database problem and either developing a bespoke system, or better still, working with you on a co-development basis; we get you going and are there to help if you get stuck. The more you know about Access and Excel, the more you can do with your system and you are not tied to a developer - the system is yours to use and maintain as you wish. We've developed a database system using Excel to manage financial data for projects. Access could not be used so we developed a system which utilised Microsoft Query to provide analysis. A long standing project has been the development of a set of reports to project asset depreciation over months or years. This is used by our client nationally and enables them to forecast the spend on assets and when the assets reach the end of their active life. Along with this we developed a set of debt management reports. These are produced within Excel using VBA and then gathered into a spreadsheet file for automatic e-mailing to the recipients; over 15 days of manual work has been reduced to less than 5 minutes! |
