Excel Essentials

Excel is an incredibly useful package and is probably the most flexible of all of the Office suite.  My "Excel Essentials" is a 1 day 'helping hand' course to assist you in getting to grips with the essential features such as creating and developing your spreadsheets and making Excel's formulas work for you!

The content of the course will help you get started whether your mission is to run your own business, improve your prospects not just in work, but also perhaps preparation to go to college or help you in your social life and the societies you may be involved with. You may even just want to take control of your household finances and this course will be ideal for you! 

Who is this for?

Simply put, it's designed for you to get up to speed quickly and efficiently!  If you have not used Excel before, no problem - you are starting from a clean slate and learning from the ground up.  If you have some Excel experience, let' s help you use the knowledge and experience you already have to get you further along and also help you learn lots of shortcuts to improve and enhance your skills.

Most importantly, you do not have to to be a whizz at maths to get immediate benefit from using Excel - if you can use a calculator you can use Excel!

What does it cover?
Starting from the basics of the hows and whys of constructing a spreadsheet, you'll learn quick, easy (and accurate) data entry techniques, easy ways to compose formula, formatting the  spreadsheet to make it attractive and easy to read, together with creating a series of charts to give a clear picture of your data. Depending upon individual requirements, we can also cover managing and sorting lists and filtering as well if required.
